During the 1880s, the town of Telluride quickly blossomed into a small, mining supported community. With a peak population topping 5,000, Telluride bustled with energy and a need for entertainment. Telluride saloons and bars soon shot up by the dozen as banks, schools, churches and police departments slowly followed suit. A red light district along East Pacific Avenue was quickly established as masses of men eager for a drink and female company returned to town after weeks of hard labor in the mines. Telluride Liquors & Wine Shop has been serving the beverage needs of locals and visitors alike since the 1980s. 

Family owned and operated since it’s establishment, Telluride Music Company began as Sheridan Music in 1992. Originally opened by Neil Wilkie in a small space in the historic Liberty Bell building on South Spruce Street, it provided a selection of CD music, strings and accessories for the local music folks in Telluride. The Telluride Nordic Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to the education and enhancement of Nordic skiing for individuals of all ages and abilities in the Telluride Region. TNA professionally grooms and maintains trail systems for cross-country skiing at Priest Lake and Trout Lake.  TNA hosts the Butch Cassidy Ski Chase, a Nordic Equipment Swap and provides lessons, clinics, tours, rentals and youth programs through the Nordic Center in Town Park.

The Telluride Resort Store carries the official Telluride Ski Resort apparel, souvenirs, and gifts. The store is located in Mountain Village in the Gondola Building plaza.

Telluride Sitters offers child care services for residents and visitors of Telluride and the San Juan Mountains. Telluride Trappings & Toggery is Telluride's longest standing retail store since 1972, carrying apparel, shoes and accessories for men, women and children, as well as housewares. Founders, Terry Tice and Susan Gulick lived in the back of the store and started their enterprise under the assumption that even cowboys and hippy ski bums needed a place to buy clothes. The shop quickly earned the reputation as being a cool, affordable, sensible place to shop. Now owned and operated by Wendy Basham and Todd Tice, the Toggery has expanded its repertoire to accommodate Telluride’s larger and more sophisticated clientele, featuring popular lines like Lucky Brand, Michael Stars, Tommy Bahama, Frye and Free People; and offering mens, womens, and kids clothing, housewares, shoes and accessories. 

Telluride Veterinary Clinic is a full-service, small animal veterinary clinic providing comprehensive medical, surgical and dental care. They provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories.
